In a Nutshell...
Valve+Meter is looking for an SEO specialist to set and execute strategies that improve the organic rankings and search volume for B2B and B2C clients. This role is responsible for evaluating client business objectives and digital marketing goals to deliver performance-based programs for owned media, including on-page optimization, organic search campaigns, technical SEO enhancements, link building, and educational and transactional keyword strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing With Us
You will report directly to our Director of Digital Strategy with the mission of developing a high-level SEO roadmap and translate it into specific tactical technical and content development initiative for all of our B2B and B2C clients
You’ll be responsible for improving organic site traffic, keyword ranking, and conversions for all clients
Monitor and manage day-to-day SEO performance and communicating insights/activities to the Director of Digital Strategy and our accounts team
Provide on-site optimization services related to page titles, URLs, structured data, redirects, internal link structures, SEO copyediting, and sitemaps review/maintenance
Provide technical SEO services including site audits, performance analysis, troubleshooting, recommendations on web page structure, and make on-page changes as it relates to SEO
Provide support for blog audits, determining what posts should be optimized, which ones should be killed and redirected, solidify internal linking, and identify content gaps we should fill first
Perform local SEO, helping with Google My Business listings and directories
Research and support content marketing strategy for clients
Building high-authority backlinks through outreach
Running reports in Google Analytics, Search Console, Moz, SpyFu, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and other tools to identify issues and opportunities
Keep up to date on latest Search trends, algorithm updates, and industry changes
Create quarterly and ad hoc SEO reports for clients, highlighting performance trends and growth opportunities

Who We Are Looking For
2+ years of experience in SEO with a proven track record of earning page one rankings and delivering exponential organic traffic growth
Someone who knows the difference between transactional and educational keywords, and how to own the SERP for each type
Has an in depth knowledge and passion for search engines, up-to-date techniques, ranking factors, and principles for sound SEO design and user experience
Demonstrates an understanding of the principals of optimizing for natural search
Needs to be technical and analytical -- experience working with large sets of data and analytics is a must
Adept in communicating SEO solutions to all levels within an organization
Solid organizational and project management skills with ability to prioritize based on business outcome and deadlines
Must be proficient in Google Analytics (GA Certified is a plus!)
Experience with traffic and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Moz, Ahrefs, ScreamingFrog, SpyFu, etc.
Experience with XML sitemaps, Robots.txt, Hreflang tags, and URL redirects
Able to code/read basic HTML, CSS, Javascript, and other programming languages as they relate to SEO
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Must be a self-starter, data-driven, and have initiative
Prior agency or consulting experience is preferred
