For Candidates

Become an Adult Apprentice

Adult apprenticeships are paid, work-based learning pathways that help adults build the skills and experience needed to move into high-demand roles. Through hands-on experience, mentorship and targeted training, apprentices can develop practical skills while building a clearer path into a tech career.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Is Adult Apprenticeship for Me?

Adult Apprenticeship can be a strong fit if you are ready to learn quickly, work in a professional setting and build skills through real experience. It is designed for people who may not have followed a traditional tech career path but are prepared to take the next step.

Are you:

1

Interested in starting or transitioning into a tech career

2

Ready to learn quickly and apply new skills in a workplace setting

3

Coming from a nontraditional background, including career change, military service or skills-based training

4

Looking for a paid pathway that combines employment, training and coaching

5

Prepared to interview with employers and meet role-specific expectations

6

18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the U.S.

This program is not designed for people already on a traditional tech career path, such as those with a computer science degree, extensive professional tech experience or a direct route into a full-time technology role. Adult Apprenticeship is intended for candidates who need a structured pathway to build skills, gain experience and move into tech from a nontraditional background.
