Comcast’s Xfinity today announced that nearly 900 new homes and businesses in Wayne County, IN, including communities in Centerville, Richmond, Webster and Williamsburg, now have access to multi-gigabit, symmetrical Internet from America’s smartest and most reliable, converged network. Xfinity brings Internet, mobile, entertainment, and smart home services into one simple, seamless solution – giving customers more speed, savings, and control over their connected lives. These Wayne County residents and entrepreneurs now join more than 65 million homes and businesses nationwide with access to a network that fuels innovation, productivity, and everyday connection.

“Comcast’s continued investment in Wayne County is welcome news for our residents and businesses,” said Richmond Mayor Ronald Oler. “By bringing fast, dependable Internet service to nearly 900 additional homes and businesses, this expansion will strengthen connectivity across our communities and help support future growth and opportunity throughout the region. We appreciate Comcast’s continued partnership and investment in Wayne County and its continued partnership in helping our communities grow, connect, and prosper.”

Residents can visit Xfinity.com and businesses should visit ComcastBusiness.com to see if their address is eligible for service. Wayne County is part of the company’s ongoing investment across Indiana, including Allen County, where residents and businesses were also recently connected to Xfinity and Comcast Business products and services.

“Wayne County residents and businesses now have access to more than fast, reliable Internet. They can bring together Xfinity Internet, Mobile, entertainment and home security for a simpler, more connected experience, while local businesses can use Comcast Business solutions to stay productive, secure and ready to grow,” said Matt Quantz, Regional Senior Vice President of Comcast’s Heartland Region. “We’re proud to offer residents and businesses greater choice, flexibility and value through services designed around the way they live and work today.”

Comcast’s commitment to communities goes beyond building the network and aims to increase economic mobility for the local community and its residents. That’s why Comcast created Internet Essentials, a broadband adoption program that offers eligible households low-cost, high-speed Internet and affordable computers. Additionally, Comcast has made significant investments into Wayne County nonprofits focused on helping people build digital skills, expanding WiFi-connected Lift Zones, and funding connectivity and Internet adoption programs.
