The seven-week, non-dilutive gBETA program prepares early-stage founders across biosciences, human health, and biotechnology to gain customer traction and connect with investors

Three Indiana University-affiliated companies (Resolet, NeuroCoolX, Vicentrix) and two other Indiana-based startups have been selected to participate in the Summer 2026 cohort of the IU Health Incubator at IU LAB Pre-Accelerator powered by gener8tor.

Based in Indianapolis at 16 Tech Innovation District, the national accelerator program supports early-stage founders commercializing breakthrough technologies at the intersection of biosciences, human health, and biotechnology. The five startups—Resolet, NeuroCoolX, Vicentrix, ResperCare, and VitaWave—will join the third cohort, supported by a partnership between Indiana University Launch Accelerator for Biosciences (IU LAB), Indiana University Health, and global venture capital firm gener8tor.

A program of gener8tor’s gBETA accelerator, the IU Health Incubator at IU LAB Pre-Accelerator is a non-equity, non-dilutive, free-to-founders program designed to help early-stage companies meet mentors, gain customer traction and pursue investment opportunities. Startup founders receive intensive concierge coaching over a seven-week span, and access to gener8tor’s national network of mentors, customers, corporate partners and investors.

The five selected companies were chosen out of more than 40 applicants due to their growth potential and investor readiness (see below for additional details on each company).

IU Health Incubator at IU LAB Pre-Accelerator Summer 2026 Cohort

Resolet Inc. is developing a compact, automated therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) platform that measures drug concentrations from a small blood sample at or near the point of care. By combining low-field magnetic resonance relaxometry, drug-specific magnetic nanoparticle assays and software-guided analysis, Resolet is designed to provide quantitative results during the same care encounter so clinicians can individualize dosing of narrow-therapeutic-index medicines. The initial clinical application is tacrolimus monitoring for transplant patients in emergency and acute-care settings. Resolet has built a working benchtop prototype and received a $305,000 National Science Foundation SBIR Phase I award to advance the core sensing platform toward a clinically deployable system.

NeuroCoolX develops a pharmacologically facilitated hypothermia platform for neuroprotection and immunomodulation targeting both acute neurological injury and the chronic downstream inflammatory processes that drive long-term disability and multi-organ complications. NeuroCoolX provides trauma, emergency, and neurocritical care teams with a rapid intervention strategy designed for use in the earliest stages of spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and other neurocritical conditions. NeuroCoolX is supported by featured research published in the Journal of Neuroscience (2026), non-diluted grant from Department of Defense, a filed patent portfolio with platform expansion potential, and a clear translational pathway toward human validation.

Vicentrix advances point-of-care neurological triage with a unified, multi-modal decision-support solution featuring EEG, Evoked Potentials, and EKG capabilities. By delivering initial insights in under 5 minutes, the handheld device assists neurologists and care teams in rapidly narrowing differential diagnoses to guide targeted testing. The technology is currently being validated through an active, IRB-approved clinical trial across inpatient and outpatient settings at IU Health.

ResperCare, Inc. develops the patent-pending PneumaNode Vitals Platform, providing continuous, wireless monitoring of critical vital signs and auscultation in a bandage-sized wearable platform designed to replace today’s fragmented, wired, and intermittent patient-monitoring devices and manual workflows. ResperCare’s initial market is high-acuity post-acute skilled nursing facilities, where the disposable PneumaNode Vitals Platform gives care teams continuous visibility into patient physiologic status to improve patient care, support earlier identification of deterioration, reduce manual vital-sign collection and documentation burden, and help avoid preventable hospital re-admittance. ResperCare has demonstrated strong organic market validation, built a functioning v3 prototype with live wireless physiologic-data transmission, committed more than $455,000 in founder resources, and secured Indiana Innovation Voucher and INTAP awards..

VitaWave Tech develops a clinical-grade, cuffless in-ear blood pressure monitor that enables accurate, continuous monitoring outside traditional clinical settings.
