Although 2020 has been a challenging year, there was no shortage of content in the TechPoint Index. The tech community had highs that needed to be shared. From celebrating Mira Award winners to reasons coastal tech workers should relocate to Indiana’s capital city or ways the tech community responded to COVID-19; here is a look back at the top 12 performing TechPoint Index stories of 2020.
We could offer plenty of reasons why Indianapolis is the place to call home for those who have no prior ties to the Hoosier state. However, we let those with no hometown bias do the talking for us.

Unlike any year prior, the 2020 Mira Awards gala was held virtually, allowing for more people in the community to attend. It was a great time celebrating those that help make the Indiana tech community so impactful.
3. TechPoint’s ‘Best of Tech’ Mira Awards gala to be broadcast live and open to the public for the first time ever on June 18
We announced on May 5, 2020 that the Mira Awards gala would, in fact, be virtual.
The Mira Awards judging panels were able to narrow all of the great applications down to 129 companies, universities, organizations, cities and individuals.
1. TechPoint’s ‘S.O.S. Challenge’ to give work experience & $250,000 in stipends to 500 students who lost summer internships to COVID-19 cuts
With the help of the tech community, TechPoint was able to launch a challenge for 500 students who lost their summer internships due to COVID-19 cuts. There are so many cool elements in this story that it’s no surprise to us that it’s the top viewed story of the year.
