Americans are 50% more likely to die from a pressure injury (bedsore) than in an automobile accident! Wave Therapeutics is on a mission to change that. We have developed the first affordable and effective smart cushioning technology to treat and prevent bedsores and reduce a substantial cost and care burden for facilities and families. Our technology uses two clinically proven technologies paired with our smart analytics and remote patient monitoring to eliminate pressure hot spots and bring fresh, oxygenated blood to at-risk tissues. We pair our cushions with a powerful analytics platform that allows remote patient monitoring by staff or family members to insure compliance with prescribed care or pressure build up. Our second generation cushions will incorporate an array of sensors that will detect changes in skin temperature or moisture buildup, to alert caregivers to the earliest signs of skin damage. Our technology can be used in wheelchair cushions, mattress toppers, surgical beds and a variety of consumer products. We're launching our medical products first, with a soft launch planned for spring of 2023. We're manufacturing in Indiana.
