Event Description

IU alumnus Katherine Moynihan, PhD has been focused on translating research and discovery science into commercial healthcare advances throughout her career. She founded Blue Ridge Bio Consulting in 2023 to work with life science contract manufacturing and early-stage startup clients on business and corporate development. As an Executive-in-Residence (EIR) for Indiana University (IU) Ventures, she currently serves on the board of NERx Biosciences and as a board observer for Qumulex, both portfolio companies of the IU Ventures Philanthropic Venture Fund, where she previously served as Associate Vice President to build the due diligence process during initial fund set up.

She also currently serves as an operating committee member for the Michigan-Pittsburgh-Wyss Regenerative Medicine Resource Center; the committee seeks regulatory and industry members as decision makers in determining de-risking funding for the interdisciplinary translational projects in the dental, oral, and craniofacial space. Katherine has a BS in chemistry from the College of William and Mary, a PhD in cell and developmental biology from Vanderbilt University, and an MBA from IU Kelley School of Business. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and three children and volunteers as President of the Board of Directors for the Riviera Club Foundation with the key goal to increase access to life-saving water safety programs for those who are at the highest risk of drowning.
