Indiana Women IN Tech Week returns September 13–20, bringing together events across the state to celebrate women working in technology, elevate their contributions and encourage more women and girls to pursue tech education and careers. The initiative also aims to create broader conversations around representation, retention and leadership for women in the technology workforce.

The statewide celebration began in 2024 after Gov. Eric Holcomb issued a first-of-its-kind proclamation recognizing Women IN Tech Week in Indiana. The week was created to recognize women already contributing to the state’s tech economy while helping build stronger pathways for those who follow.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 280,000 openings in computer and information technology occupations are projected each year through 2035. Indiana Women IN Tech Week is focused on creating pathways into the tech industry, elevating women already leading the way and inspiring the next generation to explore careers in technology.

Organizers encourage community members to support the week by attending events, supporting women-owned businesses, recognizing women in tech who have inspired you, making new connections in the tech industry, and by encouraging the next generation to explore STEM.

Indiana Women IN Tech Week includes events for professionals, students, job seekers, leaders and allies across Indianapolis and other Indiana communities.
