IU Inc. has appointed Jillian Turner chief strategy officer as the organization expands Indiana University’s innovation enterprise.

Turner will lead the development of enterprise-wide strategies to strengthen partnerships, accelerate commercialization and create new models for sustainable growth across the university’s innovation ecosystem. She will serve in the role while continuing as vice president of strategy and operations for the IU Launch Accelerator for Biosciences, or IU LAB.

An Indiana University alumna, Turner brings experience leading complex partnerships at the state, national and global levels, including leadership roles with the Indiana Economic Development Corp. and the U.S. Department of State.

IU Inc. is a university-affiliated nonprofit designed to strengthen the university’s partnerships with industry, startups, and government agencies to drive real world impact, revenue generation, and new opportunities for faculty and students. IU LAB, one of IU Inc.’s core initiatives, focuses on driving research commercialization, industry partnerships and workforce development at the intersection of bioscience and technology.
