INDIANAPOLIS — There have been few, if any, technological advances over the last decade with more potential to impact the lives of Hoosiers and the state’s business landscape than artificial intelligence (AI). The Indiana Chamber of Commerce is now pushing for a coordinated effort to enable the state to better take advantage of AI.

On August 28, the organization will hold a first-of-its-kind event for Indiana: the AI Leadership Summit – Seizing the Economic Power of Artificial Intelligence.

An array of AI subject matter experts is slated to take part and will forecast the impact of AI across industries identified as the most critical to the state’s 10-year economic future. Specifically, the event’s aim is to produce actionable insights for those in the advanced manufacturing, agbioscience, life sciences, and logistics and transportation sectors.

Put on by the Indiana Chamber Foundation in partnership with the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership and Accenture, the Summit is part of day two of the Rally Innovation Conference at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.

U.S. Sen. Todd Young, the senior senator from Indiana and author of the CHIPS and Science Act, headlines the list of presenters. Executives from Eli Lilly and Company, Corteva and some of the top innovators from Indiana’s leading universities are also featured on the agenda.

Panelists for each session will anticipate industry changes brought on by AI, discuss workforce and education considerations, as well as highlight the greatest AI-related challenges and opportunities specific to Indiana.

“Fundamental to the Chamber’s Indiana Prosperity 2035 visioning plan is a willingness to be bold, embrace disruption and seize the opportunity. There is no doubt that AI is catalyzing a generational shift in the way Indiana’s companies do business and Hoosiers live their lives,” says Adam H. Berry, Indiana Chamber vice president of economic development and technology.

“The deliverables from the AI Leadership Summit will produce valuable insights for policymakers, industry leaders and academic partners – all of whom share a responsibility for helping Indiana win talent, investment and market share in an AI-infused economy.”

Those who register to attend Rally will have full access to all AI Leadership Summit sessions, which run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. To receive 60% discount off the admission price, go to www.rallyinnovation.com, select “Get Tickets,” then the all-access pass and use code RALLYINChamb60.

Event sponsors are Comcast, Integrity Network Solutions, Inc. and Network Solutions, Inc.
