Technology 101 for Founders: Reducing the Cost and Risk for Your Business
It can be intimidating and expensive to build technology when you are trying to make your business idea real. Roger Deetz will share techniques founders can use to reduce risk and cost: what kind of tools are important to know how to use, how to get real feedback on a shoestring budget, how to know when it's time to invest more in building something, how to vet a technical co-founder or first technical hire, and more.

Roger Deetz is an experienced technology leader with 20+ years of experience as a software developer, designer, architect, and executive. He is currently Vice President of Engineering at Blueprint. Before this, he was the Vice President of Technology at Springbuk and Vice President of Engineering at Angie's List. Roger is also the founder and CEO of IN Tech for Progress.
Roger Deetz was previously an architect at Double-Take (now Carbonite). He was also an architect, designer, and developer at InstallShield (now Flexera).
Roger proudly calls Indianapolis, Indiana his home, where he lives with his wife Amber and two daughters. When he is not at home in Indy cooking, running, and cheerleading for our tech community, he is probably traveling the world shooting Nikon!
