Diversity and inclusion is rightly on every employer’s agenda in 2023, but there is still much more to be done, with the 2023 Women in Tech Survey showing that women make up just 26% of the total IT workforce.

Despite these challenges, women in technology are breaking down barriers and proving their value across all industries. Technology Magazine recently identified the top 100 global women who are breaking through the glass ceiling in tech. These incredible women hold senior positions in what has historically been a male-dominated industry, and their influence and contributions are making an impact on a global scale. Technology Magazine is proud to celebrate their leadership and contributions in this year’s list of technology trailblazers and innovators.

Not only are these women making an incredible impact in the tech industry, but they are also advocating for diversity and helping to serve and elevate unheard voices, making them role models for people all around the world.

Topping that list for 2023 is Indiana’s own Kate Maxwell, Chief Technology Officer for Worldwide Defense & Intelligence at Microsoft.
