Events across Indiana will highlight the organizations, startups and people shaping the state’s tech industry

INDIANAPOLIS (September 22, 2026) — TechTober IN, a six-week celebration of Indiana’s tech community, will bring together conferences, summits, demo nights, hackathons, networking events and other programs from September 24 through November 7.

The statewide initiative gives Hoosiers one place to discover events and connect with the organizations, startups and people making an impact on Indiana’s tech industry. Most participating events are free, and the full lineup is open to anyone interested in technology, entrepreneurship and innovation.

TechTober IN is convened by Connect317 and built in collaboration with participating organizations across the state. Each organization continues to plan and manage its own events while TechTober IN brings the broader calendar together in one place.

The initiative is designed to make Indiana’s tech community easier to navigate, increase visibility for the organizations contributing to it and encourage people to explore events and communities beyond those they already know.

Attendees can browse the TechTober IN event calendar to find opportunities by date, location and event type. The schedule includes social gatherings, talks and panels, conferences, hackathons and fundraisers.

Explore Events with the IN Tech Passport

Attendees can also use the free IN Tech Passport, presented in partnership with Elevate Ventures, to track their participation throughout TechTober IN.

The mobile passport does not require an app. Participants enter their email address to create a passport, then check in at participating events to collect digital stamps. Attendees can check in by selecting the event through the passport page or entering a code provided by the event organizer.

Each event can be counted once. However, separate events hosted by the same organization, such as a multi-event series, can each earn an individual stamp. Participants are encouraged to collect as many stamps as possible, with an added incentive for those who finish TechTober IN with the most.

How Organizations Can Participate

Technology companies, community groups, startups, funders, accelerators, coworking spaces, colleges, training providers, government organizations and others supporting Indiana’s tech community can participate at no cost.

Organizations can create a listing and add eligible events to the statewide calendar through November 7. Organizations can also submit their logos for inclusion on the 2026 Indiana Tech T-shirt at no cost. The deadline for T-shirt logo submissions is October 31.
