South Bend, IN – Trek10 is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $38m contract to expand and enhance its CloudOps service used by the Air Force software solution center Business and Enterprise Systems Product Innovation (BESPIN). The AFWERX Strategic Funding Increase (STRATFI), announced recently at South by Southwest, will match over $25m of Phase III committed dollars with $12.7m of STRATFI SBIR funds.

The CloudOps service is indispensable to BESPIN in fulfilling its charter: to build the Air Force Mobile Center of Excellence and to scale cloud and mobile application development across the Air Force and Department of Defense.

Trek10 has partnered with BESPIN since 2019 by contributing an expert, holistic approach to leveraging cloud platforms. Trek10 provides enterprise platform capabilities supporting the entire software factory ecosystem. This allows Air Force leaders, planners, developers, and platform operators to access a suite of tools, support, guidance, hands-on engineering, and patterns to deliver solutions directly to warfighters.

“This is a huge milestone for the BESPIN ecosystem. BESPIN has deployed 26 applications to Cloud One, and Trek10 continues to refine these processes to increase throughput. The Air Force is moving to the cloud, and we’ve created one of the most effective pathways with BESPIN,” notes Trek10 President Jim Abercrombie.

“At BESPIN, innovation is our driving force. This effort is shaping the future of mobile technology for our nation’s defenders. BESPIN’s CloudOps and the Service Design Accelerator will be the driving force. We are proud to be part of this joint effort to support our nation’s defenders with innovative solutions and give them the tools they need to succeed on the digital battlefield,” states Lt. Col. Tyler Hough, BESPIN chief operations officer.

The Trek10 team will focus its efforts under this STRATFI on: continued development of the BESPIN Portal, strategic hardening and automation of infrastructure, advanced analytics and continuous monitoring, and scaling to an IL6-compatible architecture.
