Job Description

What You’ll Contribute:

We are seeking a Manager, Reporting to join our technology organization to support data storytelling and reporting related to agile process improvements. This role is ideal for someone who is highly skilled in Excel, PowerPoint and who thrives on making data understandable, digestible, and compelling—without being responsible for the technical build of the reports themselves.

This is not a traditional data analyst role. The process changes have already been implemented. Now, our focus is tracking the outcomes—analyzing whether the changes had the intended impact and identifying if the right data exists to showcase success. You’ll play a critical role in surfacing insights from existing data sources and elevating our internal reporting so that IT leadership can communicate measurable wins.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the reporting process, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of management reports, and other reports.
  • Develop and maintain reporting templates and frameworks to distill disparate datasets into concise, visually compelling summaries using Excel and PowerPoint to communicate metrics and trends.
  • Identify if existing datasets (up to 1,000 rows of data) are sufficient to tell the intended story; highlight any gaps or inconsistencies that may limit business impact analysis.
  • Translate datasets into executive-ready narratives that communicate progress, outcomes, and business value.
  • Collaborate occasionally with other teams across the organization to obtain supplementary data or clarify source details.
  • Maintain and enhance recurring monthly reports and dashboards used to track agile process metrics and delivery trends.
  • Assist in evolving the team’s reporting practices by recommending ways to better visualize or interpret outcomes over time.
  • Use Power BI to view, navigate, filter, and explore dashboards and reports (development experience not required).

What you have:

  • Strong storytelling mindset—you understand how to connect the dots and present data in a way that highlights business impact.
  • Proficiency in reporting systems including Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in reporting deliverables.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal, with the ability to present information effectively
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

This role will have a hybrid but flexible 3 days in office policy at our Indianapolis, IN location.

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in reporting, data analysis, or business intelligence roles.
