EatHere started in the summer of 2015 in Indianapolis with one simple mission: To bring diverse communities together around the shared experiences of food.
Cofounders Bradley Houser & Austin Burris personally recognized the frustration within their food community of relying on traditional outlets that saturated the market. With no reliable source for young people, important moments were happening in real-time that weren’t easily accessible to all. Sharing their personal food experiences online, the duo found that friends and strangers were seeking their guidance for the best places to eat for various occasions in Indianapolis.
Brad & Austin felt review platforms were too crowded and lacked curated information by credible local sources. To address this problem, EatHere was launched to offer online viewers a destination for informative and shareable, locally-sourced content in emerging food cities across the country.
