By 2030, TechPoint Misson41K will add over 41,000 tech workers to the Hoosier workforce. Come out to share your ideas on how to design a more diverse and equitable tech workforce.
Since the dawn of the tech boom, Black innovators have made significant contributions to the industry and our daily lives. From Marie Van Brittan Brown, who along with her husband developed the home security system to Alan Emtage who invented the search engine. Black people have always been at the forefront of technology.
However, despite these accomplishments, Black people are grossly underrepresented in the tech industry. Both nationwide and in Indiana, we've long grappled with an overwhelming lack of diversity among employees, executives, venture-backed founders, venture capital firms, and board members. Even with recent efforts to increase diversity throughout the industry, Tech remains predominantly white and male.
Join us! And take part in the Mission41K Community Design Session.
This community design session is an opportunity for diverse stakeholders—from community members interested in working in tech to organizations supporting talent development—to come together and design solutions that will increase Black representation in the tech industry.Admission
