IU Founders and Funders Network Roundtable with Cate Brady

Event Description

Cate Brady is the Executive Director of Innovation at IU Health. She is responsible for a multimillion-dollar innovation portfolio with projects ranging from technology informed care models to the commercialization of physician-sourced innovations. Prior to IUH, Cate was the Director of Care Innovation at Advocate Healthcare where she was a technology thought leader collaborating with clinicians in creating new care models in Cardiology, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, Dementia and direct to consumer initiatives.

Prior to corporate life, Cate spent over 20 years as a successful technology entrepreneur and innovator in healthcare. Her first company was during the dotcom boom where she was the co-founder of one of the first VIOP companies. She took that company from concept to IPO and it was later purchased by a corporate buyer. After that, she went on to be the founding board member of a healthcare insurance decision support company that was purchased by WebMD. Her most recent startup addressed dementia and the difficulty of diagnosis. Along with her extensive hands-on experience she has been an investor, board member and mentor to dozens of early stage growth companies. She is currently Entrepreneur in Residence at IU Ventures, a member of the Founders Forum and a member of the Chicago Innovation Women Mentoring program.

Residing in the Chicagoland area, Cate enjoys biking (summer) and pickleball (winter) along with playing mini-golf with her family. On Saturdays she can be found at the local farmers market and then catching an English Premier League match.
