Join us for an engaging Startup Study Hall with Ryan Pfenninger, an experienced entrepreneur and investor. Ryan will share his story of exiting five times and will share the most important lessons he learned from building companies, raising money, and selling businesses that he build. He will answer:

What were the processes you developed that were worth repeating in each company?
What growing pains became easier to address with each new venture?
As a founder, what expectations do you have from investors?
As an investor now, what expectations do you have from founders?
What kinds of companies do you invest in now?

Ryan's Bio

Ryan Pfenninger is a technology entrepreneur who has spent his career creating transformative software companies. He started and sold his first company from his dorm room at Indiana University, and he’s been focused on building and investing in technology companies ever since. Ryan is currently the CEO of Overfuel, a company building a better technology experience in the automotive industry. Take a look at what this 5x exiter has done in his career so far...

Early investor and CTO of 250ok, one of the world’s leading email analytics companies. Ryan helped guide the company from infancy to its acquisition by Validity, one of the largest data quality companies in the world.

FVenture Partner and on the founding team of Elevate Ventures.

CTO of Campus Special, leading the buildout of its technology platform, prior to its acquisition by Chegg.

Director of Operations for Smule, a mobile music company where he led development of “I Am T-Pain”, which became one of the 25 most downloaded apps of all time.

CTO for Medical Care & Outcomes, where he developed the company's patient intervention system and helped guide the company through acquisition.
From 2002 - 2006, Ryan worked as a financial analyst for two hedge funds, Joe Feshbach Partners in Palo Alto, and Financial Stocks in Cincinnati.

Pfenninger holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems and a M.S. in Information Systems, both from Indiana University.
