Event Description
The Central Indiana Chapter of the American Statistical Association (https://www.amstat.org/) presents a "Workshop on Best Practices in AI" taught by David Corliss, PhD, Principal Data Scientist at Grafham Analytics.
This virtual workshop will discuss emerging issues for ethical best practices in data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI). The course will be hosted across two half days. The first session will focus on data issues e.g., court cases that are shaping data practice standards, learning from standards in other professions, and the impact of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on ethical practices around the world. The second session will focus on issues in analytics and AI such as model bias mitigation, the proposed federal AI Bill of Rights, and the ASA’s new guidelines for ethical practices in AI. This workshop will enable course attendees to gain a practical understanding of ethical issues in data and analytics and learn about the changing ethical landscape, concrete examples of both good and bad practices, and address potential questions and issues.
Admission$45.00
