TechPoint, Indiana’s non-profit, industry-led tech accelerator, is launching its new board structure that expands to include TechPoint’s Class of 2018 member companies and universities, a total of 80 organizations.

Each TechPoint member company is offered one seat on TechPoint’s advisory board, reserved for the CEO or executive.

“Our goal for restructuring and increasing our board participation is two-fold. TechPoint’s membership comprises the top tech, tech-enabled, and scale-up stage companies in the region and around the state, and the execs of those companies want to build relationships with each other. These companies also need access to our talent, capital, customers and promotional resources, and we want their input to shape our own programs and initiatives,” said Mike Langellier, TechPoint President and CEO.

Earlier this year, TechPoint produced the 19th annual Mira Awards, known as the ‘best of tech in Indiana,’ which hosts state’s best technology companies, people and innovations. During the Mira Awards, TechPoint launched a new product, TechPoint Index, which hosts stories and news about the tech community along with online job and tech resources. The organization is also known for its Xtern program, or the ‘ultimate summer internship,’ which celebrated five years of operations in Indy. Other events are focused on access to capital, such as the upcoming VC Speed Dating (formerly Winners’ Circle).

“TechPoint is providing powerful solutions to the top challenges Indiana tech companies face, especially access to talent and capital, and through networking events, promotions, and content is amplifying the success story of Indiana’s tech scene,” said Scott McCorkle, TechPoint Board Chairman.
