Find Your Path To A Career In Tech

A career exploration program to help students like you learn new skills, and determine how you can work toward a fulfilling career in the ever-growing tech industry.

What is Xplore?

Xplore is a *remote program facilitated by TechPoint with the mission of helping talented young students determine paths they can take to rewarding careers in Indiana’s digital innovation economy.

Take part in work simulations through Forage, with the guidance of the TechPoint team and volunteer tech professionals, to experience what it’s like to work in the tech world, in either technical or business roles.

Xplore welcomes early-college students (first and second year students) to apply for this summer program.

If the world of tech is where you see yourself, then Xplore can help yourself start on the best path for that journey.

*Our partner, TechPoint Foundation for Youth will be offering a in-person experience for high school students. Xplore aims to immerse a select group of high school students in the Indiana tech scene across a stimulating 4-week summer journey. Throughout each week, participants will engage in online work simulations, offering invaluable insights into diverse tech careers. Complementing these simulations, students will participate in weekly micro-internships at four different Indianapolis STEM companies, providing them with first hand experiences in real-world tech environments. In addition to the Xplore sessions, students will have exclusive access to explore these spaces, interact with onsite STEM professionals. Click here for more information and to apply.

Benefits of Participating

Work simulations in Xplore help participants learn about career options in tech
Work simulations help determine potential career paths.

The mission of Xplore is to help participants determine which path or paths might be right for them to lead to a fulfilling career in tech. In order to help narrow those paths, participants will take part in a number of work simulations to give them a sense of what a day-in-the-life of different careers looks like.

A chance to work with the guidance of real-world tech professionals.

Professionals from the Indiana tech community will be volunteering their time, talents, and advice, to participants of Xplore to help them learn and grow. These volunteer “mentors” will give counsel and encouragement, but will not be able to give direct aid to participants as they conduct work simulations.

The relationships forged between participants and mentors also provides participants the chance to start building their network.
