Ivy Tech and Google Offer AI Essentials Workshops Across Indiana
Ivy Tech Community College has partnered with Google to offer AI Essentials Workshops statewide, helping Indiana businesses and professionals build practical skills for using artificial intelligence at work.
The five-hour workshops are designed to help participants understand how AI can support productivity, decision-making and innovation. The training focuses on practical ways to apply AI tools to ideate, streamline processes and solve real business challenges.
Participants do not need a coding or technical background. The workshops are designed for employees who want to use AI more confidently in the workplace.
What Participants Will Learn
The workshops cover practical AI concepts and workplace applications, including:
- AI fundamentals
- AI-powered productivity
- Generative AI tools
- Prompt engineering
- Responsible AI practices

Participants will learn how AI works, how to build AI-powered workflows, how to write stronger prompts and how to use AI responsibly. The workshops also help participants think about how AI can support a forward-looking strategy for their organization.

The workshops are instructor-led and include hands-on activities, peer discussion and a real applied project. Ivy Tech says participants will leave with skills they can apply and a path toward the Google AI Essentials badge.
