INDIANAPOLIS (OCT 24, 2024) – Comcast announced that Jennifer Jambor has joined Comcast’s Heartland Region as director of Community Impact. In this role, Jambor will lead the development of local philanthropic programs and initiatives in the communities Comcast serves across Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky.

Prior to joining Comcast, Jambor led partnership strategy for Human-I-T, a nonprofit that offers digital training, low-cost devices, and monthly internet plans through stores in Detroit and Los Angeles.

“Jennifer comes to Comcast with an innate understanding of how to partner with non-profit organizations and community groups to enhance the quality of life for residents and businesses,” said Craig D’Agostini, vice president of Government Affairs, Comcast Heartland Region. “This role is an opportunity for Jennifer to scale the incredible work she’s done to increase access to digital skills education and implement Comcast’s local investment initiatives in innovative and impactful ways.”

Jambor will drive the strategic development and execution of community impact efforts across all three states within Comcast’s Heartland Region. Jambor will also lead the team responsible for cultivating partnerships with nonprofit organizations to develop and execute programs like Project UP, Comcast’s $1 billion commitment to advancing digital equity in communities across the country.

Jambor was formerly the Senior Manager of Partnerships for national non-profit Human-I-T, where she managed special projects and key relationships in support of Human-I-T’s growth and expansion. Jambor was responsible for collaborating with public and private partners to bring innovative programs and resources to cities across the country focused on digital inclusion.

In Detroit, Jambor launched the first retail store in the U.S. for digital navigation support, led Human-I-T’s partnership with the Detroit Public Schools Community District that supported over 51,000 students with tablets, connectivity and technical support, and worked with the City of Detroit to collect nearly 400,000 pounds of electronic waste and put over 1,200 connected devices back into the community.

Jambor also currently serves as a volunteer strategy manager for Connect 313, a citywide, data-driven digital inclusion strategy that brings organizations together to close the digital divide. Prior to joining Human-I-T, Jambor led marketing and client training for Cogent Communications – one of the world’s largest Internet Service Providers – and led special projects and a regional training team for Verizon Wireless. Jennifer has an MBA from Eastern Michigan University.
