Linder to join TechPoint as vice president of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in July

INDIANAPOLIS — TechPoint, Indiana’s industry-led growth initiative for the state’s digital innovation economy and overall tech ecosystem, today announced that it has named Chelsea Linder as its vice president of innovation and entrepreneurship, effective July 10, 2023.

“Today’s economic growth activities are increasingly driven by leaders with deep community relationships, learning and collaborative mindsets, and successful execution track records,” said TechPoint President and CEO Ting Gootee. “Chelsea has demonstrated all of that, in addition to her proven leadership in orchestrating programs and teams in multiple communities. We are thrilled that Indiana and our tech community will continue to benefit from her passion and expertise.”

Linder comes to TechPoint from gener8tor, the 2023 Mira Awards Entrepreneurial Service Excellence winner and a nationally ranked venture capital firm and accelerator that brings together startup founders, investors, corporations, job seekers, universities, musicians and artists in 41 communities across the country. To date, gener8tor has run 26 programs across Indiana, supporting 135 startups. Those startups have gone on to raise over $127 million in funding and create over 600 jobs in the state.

“Throughout my career I have focused on driving economic development in Indiana by supporting technology innovation and our entrepreneurship ecosystem,” Linder said. “In order for Indiana to hold its place as a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation, we need to double down on the resources we’re providing to the community. I’m looking forward to diving deeper into this work as I transition into my role at TechPoint.”

Linder joined gener8tor in January 2018 and was promoted four times, culminating in a role as partner. Prior management roles in her career include the Heritage Group and Angie’s List.
