ROLE OVERVIEW

TechPoint is looking for a full-time Digital Marketing Specialist to execute the day-to-day management of our digital marketing efforts – including a wide variety of work in disciplines such as email campaign development and maintenance, social media posting, website content management, and target audience segmentation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to own tactical marketing execution as an individual contributor in a small, close-knit organization of under fifteen employees. The right individual for this role is motivated by deadline-oriented work, enjoys collaborating with multiple stakeholders across departments, and loves playing a crucial role in driving sales funnel development, generating brand awareness and increasing TechPoint program participation and engagement.

This person will report to the Vice President of Engagement and Marketing and will collaborate with a seasonal summer intern.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Campaign Execution & Content Management – ~55% of working hours

Execute marketing campaigns and manage day-to-day digital content across key channels to drive program awareness, engagement, and participation.

●      Plan and execute all marketing campaigns across a variety of channels, which may include web, search engine optimization (SEO)/search engine marketing (SEM), database marketing, email, research report development and promotion, event promotion, social media, and display advertising.

●      Design, build and send our weekly email newsletter.

●      Design, build, and maintain our social media presence.

●      Update website page content to drive TechPoint initiatives and programming, ensure content is consistent with TechPoint’s brand positioning and target messaging.

●      Collaborate with internal teams to lead the creation of campaign-specific landing pages to personalize the prospect experience and improve conversion.

●      Coordinate with Engagement team to ensure necessary collateral exists for cohesive prospecting, onboarding, and cross-selling and upselling exists for all prospects and members.

●      Collaborate with external partners to define and lead marketing and sales efforts (e.g., Salesforce development consultant, advertising agency that hosts website and builds custom pages, PR Specialists, and graphic designer).

Marketing Funnel Direction & Audience Engagement – ~25%

Direct new demand generation-oriented marketing efforts aimed at generating leads, nurturing prospects, and supporting audience-specific conversion funnels.

●      Support marketing and sales funnel development by executing new targeted campaigns and learning from performance data.

●      Direct the ideation and execution of creative digital strategies to grow audience engagement and program participation.

Performance Analysis & Optimization – ~15%

Track campaign performance and audience behavior to inform iterative improvements across channels.

●      Measure and report on the performance of key digital marketing campaigns; assess progress against benchmarks in the marketing and sales funnel and adjust for improvement along the way.

●      Identify trends and insights and optimize marketing spend and performance based on the insights.

●      Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests.

Tools, Technology & Team Collaboration – ~5%

Support internal collaboration and evaluate tools to enhance marketing operations.

●      Evaluate emerging marketing technology stack applications, as appropriate.

●      Support TechPoint initiatives and other duties as they arise.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • At least 3 years of experience in a digital marketing-focused role; with experience in disciplines such as prospect lifecycle, lead generation, email nurture campaigns, marketing analytics, and/or social media strategy.
  • Proven experience using marketing automation platforms to develop and/or maintain outbound email campaigns (TechPoint uses Salesforce and Pardot).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in office productivity tools (email, calendar, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation software).

Preferred

  • Experience using content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress
  • Basic knowledge of CSS (cascading style sheets) for customizing and formatting web page content
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms (TechPoint uses Salesforce)
  • Experience using a project management tool to plan content and campaigns related to the marketing function (TechPoint uses Asana)
  • Technology industry experience
  • Familiarity with marketing in mission-driven or nonprofit contexts
