What led you to get into tech and this occupation? What was your first job in tech?

I happened upon my role in tech by chance. I was introduced to One Click by a peer who felt I would be a good fit for some consulting work they needed. Prior to that, I’d worked in academia and private industry. My consulting relationship with One Click became an employment relationship after six months, and I’ve been with them ever since then. My four and a half years with One Click have grown my passion for the tech industry and the people I get to work with on a daily basis.

When you think of a day in your life, what are your main responsibilities?

My days are rarely the same, but there’s a common thread throughout all of them, and that’s people. As my title suggests, I am dedicated to the success of my team. Sometimes that means working on individual opportunities for team members to learn and grow through development, coaching, mentorship, and training, and sometimes that means focusing on the overall health of our culture. I love connecting our team members to our core values and discovering and tapping into the unique strengths everyone on the team possesses.

Which resources would you recommend to those who want advance their skills in this occupation?

I encourage everyone to build a strong network of peers to share ideas and trends with. I lean heavily on my network in Indy to learn and grow. If there’s something I’m not sure of, want a second opinion on, or want to pick someone’s brain about, I’m always able to find someone local to chat with.

Meghann Arnold is a Tech 25 winner who is helping to grow and improve the tech landscape of Indiana. She was nominated by her Chief Digital Officer, Randy Stocklin.
