Winners will be announced during the awards gala at the JW Marriott Indianapolis on Saturday, April 22, 2023

INDIANAPOLIS — (Feb. 14, 2023) — TechPoint, the industry-led growth initiative for Indiana’s digital innovation economy and overall tech ecosystem, today announced the nominees for its 24th annual Mira Awards program presented by UKG. The Mira Awards are the state’s largest, best known and most prestigious technology awards, and the annual gala celebrates the “Best of Tech” in Indiana.

TechPoint received a record-breaking 236 nominations and entries for the awards this year — 38 percent more than the previous highwater mark set in 2018. The 141 entries advancing as 2023 Mira Award nominees include individuals, educators, community organizations, state agencies, investors, entrepreneurs and tech employers with remarkable achievements in the prior year. In aggregate, the company nominees that provided data employ more than 57,000 people in Indiana and represent more than $20.1 billion in annual revenue.

“The record number of entries and nominations is exciting and shows just how much is going on in Indiana’s digital innovation economy where technology is powering economic growth in our advanced sectors” said TechPoint President and CEO Ting Gootee. “These nominees include familiar tech companies, for sure, but also highly tech-enabled industries like healthcare, life sciences and public safety; advanced manufacturing and logistics; agri-biosciences; banking and finance; academia and more. We’re very pleased to see the amount of cross-sector activity in this age of digital 4.0.”

Nominees were selected by 56 independent judges who evaluated and ranked the applications. In early March, nominees will present their cases and be interviewed by judging panels held at the new Infosys facility at the former Indianapolis Airport, after which the judges will deliberate and select the winners. Judges include company founders, executives and other community leaders and subject matter experts.
