Socio wins Scale-up of the Year Mira Award
Socio won the award for Scale-up of the Year during TechPoint’s 22nd annual Mira Awards gala honoring the best of tech in Indiana.
After spending a couple of years perfecting their product-market fit as Purdue University students, Socio’s founders struck out on their own to disrupt the events market with their application built for in-person events management. They excelled, doubled in size and revenue each year over two years, and then the pandemic hit. What happened next is what wowed the Mira Awards judges.
Socio shifted its product focus from in-person to virtual events, re-engineered the Socio platform in less than three months, stood up a Professional Services team and continued hiring to keep up with the phenomenal events industry demand and more than 1,200 customers.
Today, Socio is profitable and preparing to double in size and revenue again this year, all while maintaining its award-winning company culture at locations in Indianapolis, Lafayette and in Instanbul, Turkey. The judges believe Socio has found a recipe for continued success with its approach to hybrid events and they expect more great things from Socio in the future!
TechPoint, the nonprofit, industry-led growth accelerator for Indiana’s tech ecosystem, honored the successes and innovation of Indiana people, places, companies and products during the 22nd annual and second virtual Mira Awards gala with presenting sponsor Salesforce.
