ClusterTruck, a revolutionary new concept in food service using technology to improve virtually everything, received the New Startup of the Year Award during TechPoint’s 18th annual Mira Awards honoring the best of tech in Indiana.

ClusterTruck has rebuilt the concept of food delivery from the ground up delivering restaurant-quality (locally sourced) food faster than anyone else can by using technology to streamline the whole process.

The company’s innovative approach to on-demand delivery improves on virtually every recognized industry standard and is built to be easily translatable to new markets. These are some of the reasons co-founder and CEO Chris Baggott has famously predicted ClusterTruck will be a $1 billion business someday.

Despite being in the most capital-intensive market of the category with tremendous physical and logistical constraints working against them, ClusterTruck posted higher 2016 revenue (launched in April) than all other companies in the new startup group combined and has raised $8 million in venture capital to date.

The Mira Awards judges remarked that financial performance like this and investment at this level is almost unheard of among Indiana startups. The company’s collection and application of data to continuously improve the ClusterTruck software and customer experience proves its passion for being a customer-focused brand with designs to become a $100 million company with 50 locations within five years.

ClusterTruck has already opened a second delivery-only kitchen concept in Bloomington and grew from idea to successful company with 35 employees in nine months.

TechPoint, the growth initiative for Indiana’s tech ecosystem, honored the successes and innovation of Indiana companies, entrepreneurs, educators, and other leaders at The Westin Indianapolis during the 18th annual Mira Awards gala presented by Angie’s List, Genesys, and Salesforce.

A total of 15 award winners and three honorable mentions were chosen from the 90 outstanding companies, organizations, and individuals who were selected as nominees this year out of the 180 applications received highlighting achievements during the 2016 calendar year.
