DoubleMap wins Scale-up Company of the Year Mira Awards
Transit software provider DoubleMap received the Scale-up Company of the Year Award for companies with $100,000 to $5 million in revenue during TechPoint’s 18th annual Mira Awards honoring the best of tech in Indiana.
DoubleMap provides transit software for universities, municipalities, corporations, and airports worldwide. The company’s products, such as mobile apps for catching the bus, and automated voice annunciation for visually-impaired riders, have proven to be key differentiators, and have allowed DoubleMap to experience exponential year-over-year growth.
DoubleMap’s new on-demand product, TapRide, helped attract 40+ new clients by itself, including a well-known footwear company; which used it to create an internal Uber. This growth resulted in DoubleMap being selected as the 93rd fastest growing company nationwide on Inc. Magazine’s 5000 list, while also being the 12th fastest growing company in Indiana on IBJs Fast 25 list.
The Mira Awards judges noted that the company’s growth vs traction is a key area where DoubleMap sets itself apart from other successful scale-ups. DoubleMap has continued building products that have attracted top customers like Disney and Universal Studios, reinvested profits back into the company, and achieved significant growth all without a dollar of outside money.
Years of shrewd spending, calculated investment, and double-digit revenue growth have brought DoubleMap to an inflection point in its upward trajectory. The company’s client portfolio is now over 400 customers, which sets the transit firm up to capitalize upon long-planned opportunities with location-based advertising.
The judges believe DoubleMap is exceptionally positioned to maintain its position as the market leader in on-demand mobility clients, university customers, and fortune 500 companies while growing into new markets and expanded revenue channels.
