The new year is upon us and it’s time to update your calendar. Trust us, these are the Indiana tech-related events you’ll most want—dare we say need—to attend, so it’s best to already have them down in digital ink. 

Below are our top picks based on current information. That’s not to say there aren’t other events you’ll want to attend. But those below are the ones with the widest appeal to the broadest tech audience.   1. Friday, January 19 – TechPoint closes nominations and entries for the annual Mira Awards gala.
    Technically, this isn’t an event, but it’s an important date because we know you know someone who should be in the mix for the annual “Best of Indiana Tech” awards. Maybe it’s you! So, be ahead of the curve and get your entry or nomination in before this date.

  1. Tuesday, Feb. 13 – Chamber Day Dinner 
    This event at the e Indiana Roof Ballroom is the premiere business and legislative event of the year and features Richard Haass, Author of Bill of Obligations: 10 Habits of Good Citizens, as the keynote speaker. 
  1. Saturday, Feb 17 – All-Star Pitch Competition 
    This collaboration among the NBA Foundation, Pacers Sports & Entertainment, Elevate Ventures, Be Nimble Foundation and Sixty8 Capital takes place during the NBA All-Star 2024 and will spotlight companies led by diverse and innovative tech entrepreneurs in Indiana.  Local entrepreneurs from Indiana, representing the future of tech and innovation, will participate in two rounds of pitch competition, culminating with a final live pitch competition during All-Star Weekend on Feb. 17 at Indiana Convention Center. NBAF seeks to arm aspiring innovators with essential tools, resources, and financial support to cutting-edge entrepreneurs in service of increasing access to funding opportunities.  
  1. Wednesday, February 21 – TechPoint Pitch Night  
    This is a great opportunity to see some of Indiana’s most innovative founders in action and to network with them, Indiana investors and the tech companies that support them. Details on venue to come. 
  1. Tuesday, February 27 – TechPoint Mission 41K Impact Networking 
    The best part of this collaborative effort to inclusively add 41,000 Hoosiers to the state’s tech workforce by 2030 is that you are an important part of it. Come for the networking and stay for the learning and opportunities that will abound.  
  1. Saturday March 23 The Indiana Robotics State Championship and the VEX World Championship 
    If you’ve never been, you’re in for a treat that in the minds of many previous volunteer/attendees is best served behind the scenes. And by that, we mean by being involved. Sure, you can donate to the TechPoint Foundations for Youth, which is always a good investment, but by volunteering your time, you’ll get a better view on why this event is a key part of providing talent to Indiana’s future tech workforce. Some of the kids you’ll see there will be innovators tomorrow. 
  1. Tuesday, April 9 – TechPoint Spring Finalist Day 
    You’ve been kicking yourself since November when Fall Finalist Day resulted in matching 60+ of the country’s best and brightest to Xtern internships for the coming summer. But you can stop now because you’re in the running for the year’s last shot at your own summer 2024 Xtern. 
  1. Friday, April 26 – TechPoint’s annual Mira Awards Gala  
    It’s the 25th year for the annual “Best of Indiana Tech” event and there are a ton of new things, including the venue, some awards, lower ticket prices and the afterparty. If you’ve never been able to get into the always sold-out show, this is your year as capacity is double at the Old National Center. 
  1. Thursday, May 23- Sunday May 26 – Indiana Economic Development Corporation’s Global Economic Summit 
    After a successful 2022 debut, that included more than 75 speakers, 30 international delegations and 900 registrants made up of business executives, industry leaders and foreign dignitaries, the IEDC is back with another iteration that will showcase Indiana’s economic strengths and hotbed of innovation. 
  1. Thursday, June 6 – Founders Network Summit and Venture Connect at the Indiana BioSciences building 
    This inaugural event is open to founders only, but Indiana is rife with inventors, creators and innovators, which makes this event worthy of this list. If you’re not a founder yourself, but know someone who is in this space across any of the state’s major sectors – advanced manufacturing and logistics, life science and healthcare, agbioscience or technology – make sure they know about it. 
  1.  Thursday, June 6 – Community Happy Hour and Networking 
    Join TechPoint, member companies, tech executives, digital innovators, and tech founders, operators and investors for an evening of networking and sharing ideas. Location to be determined. 
  1. Monday, June 10-Friday, June 15 – Minority Business Week 
    More details to come on the sixth iteration of this effort to increase the competitiveness of Black students, business owners and professionals in Indiana. 
  1. Wednesday, August 21 – TechPoint Pitch Night 
    This is a great opportunity to see some of Indiana’s most innovative founders in action and to network with them, Indiana investors and the tech companies that support them. Details on venue to come. 
  1.  Thursday, October 3 – Community Happy Hour and Networking 
    Join TechPoint on the Ohana floor of Salesforce Tower for an evening of networking and sharing ideas with member companies, tech executives, digital innovators, and tech founders, operators and investors.  
  1. November 15 – TechPoint Xtern Fall Finalist Day 
    This is an event for Indiana tech companies to interview outstanding talent for their summer 2015 intern needs. More details to come, but if you’re having issues with your talent pipeline, the Xtern program is your best bet for new team members. 
  1. Wednesday, November 20 – TechPoint Pitch Night 
    This is a great opportunity to see some of Indiana’s most innovative founders in action and to network with them, Indiana investors and the tech companies that support them. Details on venue to come. 
  1. Late November (dates to be determined) Central Indiana Corporate Partnership See Yourself IN Summit 
    This will be the third iteration of this program, which is designed to help Indiana high school teachers and students to understand that great careers available in advanced manufacturing and logistics, agbioscience, life sciences and health care and technology and to give them insights into the various ways to begin and succeed in those careers.
