What led you to the tech industry and this occupation? What was your first job in tech?
I was first exposed to the tech industry while working as a project coordinator on a large electronic medical record (EMR) system implementation.
When you think of a day in your life, what are the main work activities you do or responsibilities you have?
My main activities include managing the cost, scope and schedule of client projects. This umbrella encompasses the subject matter expertise of understanding security and compliance requirements of the project within a given industry, and creating and implementing security controls and risk mitigations to satisfy those requirements.
Which resources would you recommend to those who want to learn more or advance their skills?
I personally found that Eleven Fifty Academy based out of Indianapolis was great in giving its students the opportunity to not only learn the subject matter, but also apply their acquired knowledge in hands-on lab environments.
Mark is a Tech 25 winner who is helping to grow and improve the tech landscape of Indiana. He was nominated by his Chief Operations Officer, Stephanie Sponsel of netlogx.
