When Mike Langellier took over as president and CEO of TechPoint in December, he brought with him a vision for the Mira Awards that would infuse energy and excitement into the event while remaining authentic and credible. Together with Positive Energy Events' Annie Grinstead and Leslie Young (www.positiveenergyevents.com), Mike and the TechPoint staff delivered the largest — 1,000 attendees — and by all accounts the most fun Mira Awards in recent memory.

Langellier is quick to point out that TechPoint benefitted from generous partners who helped to raise production levels of the Mira Awards from beginning to end.

"Our production partners are the best in the business," Langellier said. "Their expertise and resources are what we needed to create such a fun and memorable experience for all of our guests."

TechPoint's 2013 Mira Awards production partners include:

Granola Video produced 14 videos and a handful of miniclips for the Mira Awards. Their award category introduction videos were critical to the pacing and high energy of the awards ceremony. All 14 Granola produced videos and the miniclips for the Mira Awards are included on the TechPoint YouTube Channel.

Beyond the category transitions, Granola Video expertly told the story of the importance of the Mira Awards in an opening video. They also produced videos about Trailblazer in Technology award winner Don Brown and Bridge Builder award winners Trarik and Maya Glenn of D.R.E.A.M. Alive.

The Mira Awards ceremony stage and lighting by Markey's with direction form Positive Energy Events transformed a utilitarian stage into an Academy Awards Oscars-like experience with movement, energy and beauty.

Throughout the ceremony, Markey's subtle lighting changes and strategic logo placement created dramatic visual elements.

Raidious, an interactive marketing company that manages dialogue for brands, provided content and social media expertise before, during and after the Mira Awards that helped to get the event trending. They also produced a wonderful "wrap-up" video that captures the Mira Awards purpose and experience.

Stan's Sign Design worked extremely fast and delivered the highest quality directional signs and sponsor recognition signs, as well as the "step and repeat" red carpet-style backdrop that was a very popular spot for photos throughout the event.

The large Mira Awards moniker sign — "Honoring The Best of Tech in Indiana — that adorned the on-stage riser holding the shimmering glass awards was also created by Stan's Sign Design.

Impact Group provided sets, staging, backdrops and other decor for the After Party Celebration that helped to create the exciting atmosphere. Positive Energy Events came up with the idea to add LED lighted glasses, Mardi gras beads, sequined fedoras and feather boas. It was the perfect complement to the nightclub-like, high-energy environment.
