Rapid-Fire Theatre Features Hoosier Innovators with BIG IDEAS … Ideas that Could Have a Big Impact on Your Own Business
Until now, the buzz about TechPoint's Innovation Summit presented by Comcast Business Services has been focused on the three keynote speakers. It's understandable. The lineup includes:
1.) Author, Entrepreneur and Marketing Pioneer Seth Godin ;
2.) Joe Morgan , Chief Investment Officer for Silicon Valley Bank Asset Management; and
3.) Former Google AdWord Evangelist and Innovator Frederick Vallaeys .
Today, however, TechPoint has finally released the first two of more than a dozen Rapid-Fire Theatre presenters.
The "Rapid-Fire Theatre" at Innovation Summit will feature eight-minute, five-slide presentations by different presenters or presentation teams. These high-energy, short presentations are being developed by thought leaders and innovators who have breakthroughs, business models, funding strategies and other "big ideas" to share with attendees.
Most starts-ups have big dreams of seeing their ideas ignite, creating tremendous success and innovation. However, many of these companies struggle when it comes to developing and executing the plan for growth.
In this presentation, David Wasilewski will share his secrets to building up his start-up, Spanx, from a concept of footless pantyhose to a $150+ million dollar global phenomenon. It’s the same lesson he’s applying to his new start-up, WhatNext.com, and something that can be very applicable to other start-ups determining their most effective path for growth.
David Wasilewski is CEO and founder of WhatNext.com, a social health platform for firsthand insights into cancer treatments and experiences. A serial entrepreneur, David also co-founded and served as COO for Spanx, a men’s and women’s apparel company that he helped grow into a $150 million venture. He has been quoted in several publications, including Entrepreneur Magazine, and is a sought-after speaker on the topic of online patient communities.
