Description:
The Senior Electrical/RF Engineer is responsible for the design and development of embedded electronic products. This person is the primary electrical engineering interface for a project to Indesign’s clients.
Specific Job Responsibilities Include:
• Work with multi-discipline project teams and project managers to create project proposals and plans.
• Work with project teams and clients to create electrical requirements for products.
• Work with project teams to create product/system architectures.
• Create detailed electrical and RF circuit designs.
• Design, build mock-ups, measure, and make adjustments to tune antennas.
• Work with ECAD team on the layout of printed circuit boards.
• Create and execute board level, functional, and compliance test plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and EMC issues in products.
• Work with factories to produce manufacturable designs.
• Work with electrical and RF teams to define, implement, and update discipline processes.
• Consult with other engineers, as required.
The candidate MUST be able to meet the following requirements:
• Possess a BSEE and 10+ years of experience in hands-on electrical and RF circuit design.
• Have mastered use of lab test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, VNA, and RF vector signal generator.
• Able to work independently on multiple projects in new areas.
• Have experience designing products for a variety of markets such as consumer, commercial, and government
• Have experience working end-to-end from product concept through manufacturing support.
• Possess excellent organizational skills.
• Able to thoroughly document work and present alternatives and recommendations.
• Displays good teamwork and resolves issues.
• Ability to work with variety of clients in multiple locations.
• Have pride and be self-motivated in the quality and quantity of work being performed.
• Always conduct work in a professional and ethical manner.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in an appropriate manner at all times.
• Perform all functions in a non-discriminatory manner.
• Be a United States citizen or United States Permanent Resident.
It is desirable the candidate meet the following requirements:
• Have a master’s degree in Electrical/RF engineering
• Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g. FDA, Military)
