Company Description
Brackets For Good (bfg.org) is a 501(c)3 organization that hosts online, single-elimination fundraising tournaments for local nonprofits. The purpose is to raise the profile of the nonprofit community by engaging supporters in a fun, hight-tech way and partnering with local companies who believe in fundraising madness.
Nonprofits go head-to-head in a six-round, bracket-style tournament over five weeks in March. During each round, nonprofits are matched with an 'opponent' that they must out-fundraise in order to proceed. Each dollar donated through bfg.org scores one point for the chosen organization. Nonprofits retain all funds raised, regardless of advancement. BFG coaches and supports the participants by providing not only the tournament platform, but also marketing resources, email tools, paid advertising, social media support, and comprehensive donor data. The winning organization receives a corporate sponsored $10,000 grant in addition to all funds raised.
