“What proven innovation have you created that would enhance health care value in the U.S. if broadly disseminated?”
That is THE question driving the Harvard Business School Healthcare Innovation Challenge, an open forum competition held jointly with Harvard Medical School that is seeking healthcare innovations like health information technology that are ready to scale up and make a difference.
Indianapolis-based hc1.com is participating in the challenge with its healthcare cloud software. The hc1.com Healthcare Relationship Cloud™ combines healthcare customer relationship management (CRM) software with real-time analytics and secure collaboration in the cloud. It’s the only cloud-based CRM and business intelligence solution built specifically for the healthcare vertical market.
“As a fast-growing healthcare start-up, hc1.com is eager to receive constructive feedback from the other Health Acceleration Challenge participants,” said Lizzie Mooney of hc1.com. “All innovations are evaluated based on impact, evidence, and scale-up plan, and the finalists will receive advice and guidance from senior Harvard faculty, as well as networking opportunities with Harvard Business School and Harvard Medical School alumni and a monetary grant.”
The public is invited to advise the judges of the Health Acceleration Challenge by reading the applications and digitally “applauding” their favorites. Applications include a variety of media like videos and case studies. It’s quite an impressive collection of ideas and innovations with 478 participating organizations.
Alere – one of the fastest-growing toxicology enterprises in the world – lacked a holistic view of each client with many siloed data systems resulting from their recent expansion. Processing more than 12 million lab tests for over 70,000 global clients across eight lab locations, they needed a way to pinpoint trends and stay a step ahead of potential client challenges.
Why does hc1.com deserve your digital applause? Here are a few experts from their challenge application:
As of August 2014, hc1.com has processed over 1 billion records of data, and has over 30 million profiles stored in its HIPAA-compliant platform. With another record-setting quarter in terms of revenue and platform adoption, hc1.com is leading the healthcare relationship management revolution.
hc1.com is already helping healthcare organizations increase efficiency and improve the patient experience, having now been adopted in over 500 healthcare locations worldwide. Within the United States alone, these locations include the number one health system lab by volume, the number one global toxicology lab by revenue, and the number one global diagnostics company by international volume.
As the Healthcare Relationship Cloud™ has been adopted across the world, hc1.com has been recognized with multiple awards, including honors as a 2013 Red Herring Global Top 100 Winner – the only healthcare tech company to have ever been selected.
