DeveloperTown, Kronos Incorporated and Upper Hand win People’s Choice Mira Awards
Twenty-eight tech companies and organizations submitted applications in the categories of Best Tech Event, Best Tech Space and Best Tech T-Shirt or Swag, for the second-annual People’s Choice Mira Awards.
TechPoint created these fun, new public voting categories to recognize aspects of our tech community that are important to company cultures and have a huge impact on employee experiences and connecting the community, but are not often included in awards programs.
The 2018 People’s Choice Winners:
Best Tech Space — DeveloperTown’s Tiny House Village
Best Tech Event — Kronos Incorporated’s Indianapolis Tech Center Interview Blitz
Best Tech T-Shirt or Swag — Upper Hand’s Oakley Brand Icon Performance Shirt
The People’s Choice winners are recognized as part of the run-up to the TechPoint Mira Awards gala, held on April 28 at the JW Marriott — Indianapolis. The sold-out black-tie event is “Tech’s Biggest Night” where 15 awards are announced honoring the highest-achieving, most innovative people, products and companies of 2017.
Mira Awards categories that will be announced at the gala are determined by the 52 independent judges who evaluated applications and interviewed the nominees. The People’s Choice Mira Awards are voted on by the public.
Best Tech Space — DeveloperTown’s Tiny House Village (https://www.developertown.com/)
The unique space created by DeveloperTown gives employees a house they can call their own while making collaboration a mobile affair at the software design and development consultancy.
What came first: DeveloperTown or the tiny house craze? You may not understand why people want to live 24/7 in teeny-tiny homes, but it’s easy to see why the Townies would want tiny, mobile offices (with real windows and doors) to call their own.
Becoming a resident of DeveloperTown means you get your own tiny house and carte blanche to outfit it. Need a log cabin feel to get your design juices flowing? Sure. Prefer Frank Lloyd Wright’s clean elegance for inspiration? No problem. Shabby chic? C’est bon!
The tiny houses are on wheels, and easily grouped and regrouped to provide the right mix of talent and skill for the challenge at hand.
Best Tech Event — Kronos Incorporated’s Indianapolis Tech Center Interview Blitz (https://www.kronos.com/)
Kronos is a leading provider of workforce management and human capital management cloud solutions. Kronos’ Indianapolis Tech Center of Excellence (ITC) Interview Blitz is a full-day event consisting of networking, interviewing, and case competitions
