Every spring, TechPoint’s monthly Tech Thursday event presented by LightBound and hosted by Faegre Baker Daniels during the month of March becomes Mira Nominees Pitch Night. We invite all of the companies, schools, organizations, teams and startups competing for the state’s top tech honors in the Mira Awards to join us for a fun night of sharing success stories and learning about the nominees — 60 seconds at a time.

This year, 50 of the nominees signed up for this entertaining, fast-paced Mira preview, which was held at Launch Fishers due to the crowd being twice the normal size. Our master of ceremonies, Nick Mathioudakis, kept things moving and attendees said it was inspiring and motivating to hear about all of the remarkable tech activity here in Indiana. Learn more about the nominees who participated in the brief descriptions included below.

Following all 50 pitches, our honorary judges for the night — John Wechsler of Launch Fishers and Dane Dittemore of LightBound — selected four semi-finalists. They were:

  1. AlGalCo
  2. Bluebridge Digital
  3. Social Net Watcher
  4. WordSentry

Next, the crowd chose Social Net watcher and WordSentry as their two favorite, and WordSentry was crowned the winner of Mira Nominees Pitch Night! Watch videos below of the top two pitches from Social Net Watcher and WordSentry.
