Exhibitor applications are due this Friday. Super early-bird tickets are on sale now.

There’s a group for everything and everybody in Indianapolis. Even within the tech sector there are a handful of groups that specialize in different aspects of technology or tech business. When these groups come together to collaborate on something like Innovation Showcase, startups and entrepreneurs benefit greatly.

“TechPoint is relentlessly focused on growing Indiana tech companies, and Innovation Showcase is the perfect example of an opportunity to band together with organizers Venture Club, VERGE and Vision Tech, around something positive that touches on all of our missions and jointly delivers a greater outcome,” said Mike Langellier, president and CEO of TechPoint.

TechPoint committed an additional $20,000 in cash investment through the HALO Capital Group to the Innovation Showcase pitch competition grand prize, bringing the total cash amount to $50,000. “That’s a big purse,” said langellier. “It could make the difference that gets a startup to that first critical sale.” When added to the in-kind services provided by sponsors, the pitch competition winner will receive more than $120,000 in cash investment and services total.

TechPoint will also host a content studio on site at Innovation Showcase, which will provide video, photo, blog and social coverage of startups and entrepreneurs, helping to share their stories with a broader audience and potential customers.

Innovation Showcase organizers — Venture Club, Verge and Vision Tech — announced details for this year’s event earlier this week, including that applications are now being accepted for exhibitors and for companies that want to participate in the pitch competition. The event will be held July 10, with educational sessions for entrepreneurs and investors from 8 a.m. to noon, and the showcase with display booths from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The event also includes a panel of successful entrepreneurs who will discuss successful startup models as well as an investor roundup where regional investors of early-stage enterprises will examine a range of funding topics.

"The Innovation Showcase has a rich history of bringing together entrepreneurs and investors,” said Ike Willet, President of the Venture Club of Indiana. “We expect another record year for applications and attendance.”

Exhibitor applications are due this Friday before midnight. Ticket prices are $75 for early-bird registration, which ends next Friday. After May 23, ticket prices go up to $100 and $125 at the door on the day of the event. A super earl-bird afternoon-only ticket is also available for just $35. Innovation Showcase will be held at the Dallara IndyCar Factory, located at 1201 Main Street in Speedway, Ind.

Past participants who have experienced remarkable growth after exhibiting include: Scale Computing, myCOI, Indigo Biosystems, BlueLock, Bluebridge Digital, Precise Path Robotics, Book A Coach, Curvo Labs and many others.

Joe Trebley, one of the members of last year’s winning team Emphymab Biotech had this to say about the event: "We’ve seen a lot of success and continue to gain momentum after last year’s Innovation Showcase.  We were able to leverage our win and procure additional funding with both BioCrossroads and the Harrington Innovator Scholar Award.  The chance to get our foot in the door with Innovation Showcase 2013 was invaluable."
