Saturday night at DeveloperTown and Speak Easy, we welcomed almost 250 guests to the second-annual IndyXmas. IndyXmas is a party designed to showcase the Indy tech community for out-of-towners home for the holidays. It is also a celebration of the success and growth of Indy tech. Over the past five years, Indy tech companies like Aprimo, ExactTarget and Angie’s List have created $4.5 billion in market value via the acquisitions and IPOs.  Indy has recently been recognized by national publications like The New York Times, Kiplinger, Conde Nast Traveler, CNN Money and TIME. We have much to celebrate.

IndyXmas attendees tweeted and posted up a storm using event hashtag #IndyXmas. I’ll let them tell the story of the evening:

TechPoint CEO Mike Langellier officially welcomed the crowd and kicked off IndyXmas from the Speak Easy stage at 7:15.

Organizations like Pattern, Verge, Harrison Center for the Arts and Launch Fishers were there, along with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Wabash College and IUPUI. Hiring companies Angie’s List, Apparatus, Appirio, hc1.com, Interactive Intelligence, Purdue Foundry, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Smarter Remarketer, Teradata and TinderBox each had space at IndyXmas.
